Year 1 Summary
Our company began trading in May 2020 and so April 2021 marks one of many milestones passed by the business already. We set clear goals for the company in the following areas in our business plan, and by striving towards them, we have done much towards building a professional archaeological consultancy company.

Renewables, Commercial Property, Residential Property, Research, Local Government and Infrastructure
Range of products
We have worked on assessments for residential developments, solar farms, electric vehicle charging stations and flood defence schemes. We have also contributed to the emerging Local Plan of a London Borough.
Repeat Customers and special expertise
We have repeat customers in the renewable energy sector and have developed a high level of expertise in the delivery of Heritage and Archaeology elements of Solar Farms and electric vehicle charging stations. We also have staff with a high level of expertise in wind energy applications. Approximately 50% of our active projects are connected to renewable energy applications.
We also have repeat customers in the residential and commercial property sectors. These account for approximately 35% of our active projects.
Providing regular work to freelancers
We are proud to offer regular work to selected external freelancers. These ensure that our Quality (document editing) and Graphics production are of a high professional standard. We have been delighted to work regularly with Izabela Jurkiewicz of Arte-Facts over the last year or so.
Charitable Work
We have competed charitable work researching and reporting upon the Medieval period in Kings Lynn. This is part of a planned series of voluntary research projects. The work has been carried out to professional standards and we are proud to give our time for a community benefit project such as this.
Professional Standards
We have given time to take part in the Advisory Council of the CIfA. The Advisory Council has up to 40 members, 20 of which are elected by the membership and up to 20 filled by representatives from each individual special interest or area group. Advisory Council represents the interests of the membership and offers advice to the Board of Directors on policy, strategy and potentially controversial decisions (https://www.archaeologists.net/organisation/council).

Marketing
Our website has a range of downloadable Case Studies describing our work and we advertise in certain targetted publications and using social media.
Training
We have taken part in CIfA and HELM training events over the course of the last year. We also consult with our local business support advisor on specific matters.
